Beechjet Study Material

Got a job offer yesterday with a 135 operator on the Beechjet. Coming from only flying piston aircraft I imagine this is going to be a pretty big leap. I start class August 12 and would like to be as prepared as possible so if anyone knows where to find some study material, or has any suggestions on the airplane I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Learn 135 duty and rest rules. Then see how badly these rules are manipulated.

As far as learning the airplane. Maybe get a container similarly sized to the baggage compartment on the airplane and try fitting in as many golf bags, extra big roller bags and other obnoxious oddities as possible. Do this in the heat, in a suit and tie. Do this until you are the Tetris master.

You will make a great copilot!

Thanks for the suggestions, I haven't played tetris in a while so I'll get to work ASAP.

LOL

Also brush up on the following CRM techniques:

You are absolutely right captain.

Oh yes Sir, I will load the bags again.

Don't worry I will just clean the cabin during the empty leg.

I will get the car and have directions to the hotel on my phone.

Do you want a cookie captain?

And the good news keeps coming in. The anticipation is killing me.

If you know what kind of FMS yours is going to have, you might see if there's a computer-based sim for it. Cuts way back on the "wtf factor" in the box on stilts.

I would warn you against trying to pick up "study materials" from a sim center other than the one you're going to use. My employer gave me a Beechjunk book from FlightSafety, then sent me to Simuflite. No bueno.

It's not exactly the space shuttle. Pay attention, study at least a minimal amount, and you'll be fine.

No, I'll be doing all my training in house so we're supposed to start August 12.

Thanks to all for the responses as well. Much appreciated.

Study up on 135 alternate minimums

1.25 1.44 1.67 1.92 these landing factors should mean something to you.
