Concessions

Hey guys! Im in the position to start looking at 121 jobs and I have to say im a little confused about "concessions". I understand that Eagle was offered lower pay for new FO's and turned it down which is a great thing. I guess my question is how often are airlines offered concessions? Im new to this and trying to figure this out as im starting to look into my next career move (making the jump within the next 12 months).

Also at this point will the rest of the regionals be faced with the same deal Eagle was just offered?

Just because the FO's "turned it down" doesn't mean they will get their way. From my experience with labor/company relations, the employer will generally get what they want. Unfortunately, labor unions today are too weak to be able to demand much. It is sad to see but true
 
Concessions are generally a reduction in pay, soft time, or QOL provisions in the contract. Companies have been asking for them quite often at the moment.
 
Wow... LOWER first year pay? Sure there's Great Lakes, but I didn't think it could get any worse by any 'respectable' employer.

The FOs didn't turn it down, the executive body of our union did. I also think your synopsis is incorrect; the only thing we lack is unity.
