C208 PIC TX/OK- various locations

Update. They have 1 Lansing and 3 Dallas Standby positions left.

The class is July 22.

The route I wanted got filled by a former employee so I am not going to interview now.

Best way to get noticed is email the Chief Pilot directly. Look on the website for that info.

Good luck

Dallas standby was the funnest flying I did while there. If youre single and dont mind doing 1 week at a time in each side of the country. You also make closer to s living wage with all the per diem.

Not single, not spending one dime on additional living expenses. Hugo worked the others don't, no big deal, I'm on to the next thing and my inbox is full for now. ;)

DFW standby was fun when that's what it was - it stopped being fun when it was 2/3 weeks out and a week back.

Until you leave your car in the DHL parking lot for 4 weeks, they tow it, and almost auction it off without notifying you.

Does anyone know how to get a callback? I well meet the minimums for the gig, I applied two weeks ago, called and left two messages for the CP, just can't seem to get a response?

Just saw on the orange site that Albany, GA is open...if you want to get paid to do basically zero flying, there you go.

Yup, I covered this route for a two week period last spring. I flew all of two times. This run backs up a Key Lime metro down to Panama City, FL. If there is too much freight for the metro in the morning then the excess goes in the Van for you to fly. In the evening, you are standby for one of the other MRA routes in case of mechanical or pilot calls in sick.

Out of four weeks I was there I flew once.

I shouldn't say you won't fly...the guy did do quite a few long-distance swaps...when the EUG bird went down for its hot section he flew it to/from Dallas...same thing with the old (unfortunately crashed) BFI bird.
