C208 PIC TX/OK- various locations

I follow this girl on instagram that happens to work for them (pure coincidence) - I think her name is Taylor, and she uploaded this video the other day on instagram showing how she got weathered out at one of her hops at 3AM and how everything was closed and she was showing how she made a hammock out of the cargo net and slept in the C208 until the morning when weather passed. To most people, that kind of situation would have sucked, but this girl took it with stride and found a way to make the best out of it. It's about your attitude at the end of the day. I think the employer knows that you're there to build hours and move on...

That's awesome! I completely agree with you and that's the kind of person I am... Low maintenance and very adaptable. You have to be, heck that's job security. No one is going to get rid of the hard working pilot over the prima donna...

? There are many reasons to get rid of a hard working pilot and most pilots know a lot of good guys that have been terminated, even some for "making it happen".

Protect yourself.

The best I can say as I've been surprised to see so many move on to something very nice immediately leaving here so that's something to take with you is the initial experience especially for those with no previous 135 time. The range has been from regionals, air ambo, other better freight, and cush corporate stuff. It has run the gamut.

Well, I'm pretty much sick of trying to contact people there. I have other irons in the fire and no time for BS right now.

I got the impression they needed people right away

I'm just not going to hold off on the other offers to interview any longer waiting for this place to call, so now my schedule is going to fill up, when I'd much rather skip all the other travel, and suit wearing BS and just get started doing this gig. ;)

I got in contact with the man today. I feel pretty good about what he had to say, so now its on me to do the rest. Sol and pwa, thanks for the help guys.

The CP is one of the most loyal leaders I've ever come across. The amount of heat that I've seen him take from management on behalf of his pilots is unbelievable.

Do your job, keep him informed of any hicups, and he will back you 100%.

Cool man, congrats. Hope I get a call too... Did you get invited to an interview?

I asked point blank what he needs to see from me, and he told me. I have a couple things to iron out and he said he'd give me an interview. That's all a man can ask for is an honest shot at what he wants.

He struck me as a no BS guy, and I can totally be happy with that. I'm rough around the edges and he seemed like a guy I can be straight with and not worry about him reading into it. I respect the hell out of that.

I agree with all this.

Sounds like someone wants that route back that had it before, so this all may not matter unless something else works.
