Flight Instructor - University Air Center @ KGNV

Well it's time to bump this post again. Last time I posted we hired a very strong instructor who has become an asset to our company. Who wants to be next?

University Air Center is a full service FBO in Gainesville, FL with an active part 61 and 141 flight school that is looking to hire flight instructors. While this is an entry level position our company strongly prefers to promote from within and this is a great way to get your "foot in the door" at a successful aviation company in North Central Florida.

Our current fleet consists of 2 G-1000 Equipped C-172's, 1 Round Dial C-172 M-Model, 1 Piper Warrior, a Cessna 210L, a G-1000 Cessna 182 Turbo, and 1 turbocharged Piper Seminole. We also have a Redbird flight simulator.

Minimums:

Commercial SEL / MEL / INST
CFI / CFI-I (MEI is a plus)
High Performance and Complex Endorsements
325 TT
Must be willing and able to work weekends

Having experience and competency in both glass panel and steam gauge aircraft is preferred.

If interested, please send your contact information and a resume to charles@universityaircenter.com.

You must include "JetCareers-CFI" in the beginning of the subject line of the email.

Wow! Is University Air that busy? Would love to move back to my home in Gainesville.

Yes, because of instructor attrition, people moving up to different parts of the company, or moving somewhere else in their aviation careers I essentially have no "full-time" instructors right now.

would not having a multi rating rating be an interview killer? i plan on on getting it i just need to figure out how...

I would prefer you have a multi-commercial...at this point it wouldn't be an interview killer though. Just understand that there is no way to move up in the company without it (or aviation in general for that matter). Getting the multi-commercial here is definitely a good deal for our own folks...the twin is discounted 15% for employees.

I would like to personally vouch for University Air Center. I think the thing I valued most as a brand new CFI with UAC was how the company treated the employees. The company operates in a family-oriented environment which I thoroughly enjoyed during my time there. While no flight school is perfect, whenever there were challenges, Charles and the rest of the flight school department were expeditious in resolving any issues making my job relatively stress-free which is rarity in this industry as a Flight Instructor.

I would also personally give thanks to Charles for giving the opportunity to allow me to experience the full flight instructor experience. It has helped me transition and propel me further in my aviation career.

I think when I get my CFI and CFII soon here....I will give you a holler Charles. Miss home and might work with Dr. Gleim while I'm at it.

I have visited University Air Center a few times as a customer. Great operation and friendly folks. If I were at an earlier stage in my career I'd totally go for this opportunity.

AviatorGator are you guys still looking for a CFI? I emailed my resume to the above email, and put in my application on your website. I would definitely like to get some more information about your flight school and arrange a time to tour the facility. I posted my info in the "Job Needed" section HERE
