I Need Help Shipping a Body. (For Burial.)

Yeah after living there you have to have good reason or own the land to be buried there. Most of the cemeteries are just as dense as the city blocks there.

Thanks again, all. Apparently, the family in question is dealing with very limited resources, and in addition to the deceased, the fundraiser is to get her parents there as well so they can lay her to rest. There doesn't seem to be much we can do to alleviate the burden except continue to pass the hat.

For all reading, there is a fundraiser being done for

Marlena Lauta'amutafea Mokihana Samuels and her family.

Marlena was a native of Hawaii and a long time part of the Dallas Latin social dance community. She passed on last week. The Dallas salsa community and her friends are attempting to raise money to transport her remains back to her beloved Hawaii, and send her parents with her to see to her final resting place. If you'd like to chip in a few bucks, they have a PayPal donation account set up to receive funds. I've received a request via PM if folks could chip in. If you'd like to help, I'm sure it'd be appreciated.

I know the people organizing this personally and trust them implicitly.

Someone already beat me to the "Delta Air Cargo" line. It's how grandma rode home from Los Angeles to Daytona Beach when she passed. They're very reasonable, and the HR shipment was handled with the greatest respect, etc. There's also a lot of Widget flying out that way.

My Grandma is enroute via Delta right now. The funeral home contacted Delta Cares and they took care of it all. It was a lot more reasonable than we expected.

Sorry about your grandma, bro.
