Brazilian drug runners

Looks like the drug runners are in the plane, possibly back-taxiing for takeoff. Cops pull a Dukes of Hazard and wedge the car in front of the horizontal stab as drug runners give the plane some gas in a last ditch effort to escape.

The Brazilian FBI was waiting in a Chevy S10 after the plane landed and unloaded the tried to stop the guys....the drug was taken while it was on his way into the nearby city.

They're basic saying the same thing: "i'm gonna go into the wing, i'm gonna hit the wing" !
It may not be the most smart technique, but it's been effective.

Regarding the video dustoff17 shared, i must say that, as a brazilian, i'm not proud of our police acting this way...
BUT... dealing with drug dealers here is not easy. Policeman are not equipped properly, their salaries is crappy that they're neighbors with the dealers in the favelas, and the laws seem to work against the law enforcement officers. It's hard to see people fighting the bureaucracy, the corruption and etc. And, in this specific case, the pilot of the helicopter had the guts of coming into public, through the TV show with the biggest audience in the week (Globo's "Fantastico") to back up the operation as legitimate.
Of course we should be worried about the civilians, but no complains were filled in the days following that operation by the civilians in the area. If you count how many families were destroyed (and would be) by that dealer, i think (personal opinion here, but from someone who has a better view on this matter that non-brazilians) that the risk was worth the operation.

That helicopter video really caught my attention, Never thought that they were going to shoot from the helicopter like how they did! At one moment it even looked like multiple rounds were fired into something like an apartment building... Wow

Down here civilians are only the ones with a lot money...

It happened some time ago, now because they finally decided to do something about it, it has gone global.

That action in the video was totally illegal, this guys down here are out of their minds, they were able to get away with it only because it was done in a poor neighborhood, if the same drug lord was driving in any part of South Rio this would have never happened. The cops used guns that are not made to be used in motion. The land unit had some problem with their vehicle so they decided to use to helicopter, they didn`t followed any procedure they just wanted to get the guy no matter what.

Something like this just happened again few days ago and some innocent civilian got hit, the SWAT unit here uses gopros and one of the video became public, in the video you could see the cops trying to move the innocent guy closer to the bad guys so that it would look like they are related.

Having lived 3 years in Brazil I`m more afraid of the cops then what are supposed to be bad guys.

Actually the gun law system in Brazil is exactly like the America some of the ant-gun dream of.
