If min guarantee is 75 hrs and you are a line holder and if you get a 4 day cancelled, that takes your flying lower than 75 hrs and that translates into less than 75 hrs of pay.

Hard to believe it , i know.. but it is true..

You don't understand what minimum guarantee means do you? Do you work at RAH?

The only way you can get below min guarantee is if you say trip trade which brings you from an 85 hour line to an 81 hour line. Then you have reduced you min guarantee by 4 hours so its now 71 instead of 75. You have a crap load of stuff cancel and it is possible to get only the 71 hours of guarantee but highly unlikely. It has happened in rare cases but it is extremely rare.

can not stress how rare it is...

this is how I interpret things, at places with cancellation pay.

80 hours of credit for the month, 10 hour trip that cancels, you still get 80 hours pay.

at RAH

80 hours credit, 10 hour trip that cancels, you get 70 hours pay, due to lack of cancellation pay, unless you are reassigned from what I read.

Minimum guarantee is 75 hours. You don't go below that. If you have trips worth 85 hours credit for the month and say a 20 hour 4 day trip cancels you still get paid 75 hours. If you get reassigned different flying or even a deadhead back home from the canceled trip you are pay protected for the original trip or greater of the two.

Starship is correct. The only people who are losing out big time are the people who are bidding 90 hour lines and then have a trip cancelled.

At Republic, you don't get reduced below guarantee for cancellations. Your credit what you actually fly. Guarantee is reduced when you are not available for duty for one reason or another.

how are people not understanding this, it is incredibly easy, YOU WON'T GO BELOW 75 HOURs!

If my entire month is cancelled I still will get 75 hours credit

so if you bid only 75 hr lines...then you have nothing to lose and don't care if you get cancelled. (although you will lose the per diem, but that is everywhere)

When I interviewed they said that lots of people were getting the base they want is that correct? Or are the just sending people to cmh?

Yes, as long as the current movement continues you will only have to do a month or two in CMH or IND then you can transfer out. If you leave CMH or IND expect to be on reserve much longer.

In your opinion which base, IND or CMH will allow you to get off reserve the quickest at S5?
