Wiggins Airways, NY

They have 99's and 1900 iirc. 208 might be entry level? They fly both brown and purple boxes.

I have a friend who is leaving the job, wbichbis why that was posted. He has been there for almost two years, and never any talk about an "upgrade." From what he tells me, youbusually end up in the Van forever because they have so many of them, and so few 99's and that funky EMB 110.

Yeah I left hence the open position. This is a GREAT company to work for. By far the best aviation job ive ever had, If i was 20 years older I would stay, But I got a jet job and more $$$ If your looking for something very stable this is it. All Caravans have G600 Glass panels and TKS they do awesome in the ice.

If anyone has questions just ask. and FYI you dont need 500ME for the van thats just a general min thing.

Schedule is typically really good, Short flight most under 1 hour, Most are fly out overnight in the hotel and fly back in the morning. Some of the flights to EWR are good, fly in layover for a few hours and fly back I think one or 2 of them are a quick turn as well. It all really depends on what run you fly. There are a few openings right now not sure what they will try to fill first.

And if they are looking for a floater pilot (what I did) thats pretty good as well, your gone all week but you make more in per diem. and $.55 a mile driving. depending on where you had to drive you could easily double your paycheck for the week. And if no one was on vacation, at FSI, or out sick, you sit at home on call and still get paid!

Funky E110... The bandit rocks I have over 2000 hours in them. The only funky E110's are the straight tails. The elevators vibrate due to prob wash. When the added some dihedral to them and got them out of the prop wash it rocked.

I actually saw an ad a few days ago looking for BE-99 PIC's out of Presque Isle. Also for Wiggins. It struck me as odd after looking at their website. I wondered why they wouldn't be upgrading somebody from the van.

There have been people that moved from the 'van to the 99. Why it doesn't happen every time, I don't know. I can tell you that no 99 and caravan bases overlap, so a 'van driver would have to change bases. Maybe people don't want to do that?

Rumor has it the only thing the ERJ has in common with its bandierante ancestry are the cookpit sun visors
