Hello! Haven't been here in a long time. Nice that this site is still here!
So my situation. I'm looking to get back into flight training. I have PPL with IFR, and am looking to get CFI (and more, if possible).
I am working with my local employment agency since I'm a recently laid off worker from Kennedy Space Center, because they can provide some financial training assistance.
I went to a local airport and got a quote for training up to CFI. It was too rich for Brev Workforce moneywise (about $15k, I need a lot of time building, only have 170 hours), but they suggested I take this quote to other schools in the area and see if they can give me a better offer.
I am doing my own research as well, but was wondering if anyone is familiar with flight schools in the Central Florida area and could make suggestions. I've been out of the game for a while, but I think $15k to get me from 170 hours to CFI is a bit much, but I don't know what IS reasonable these days.
Would appreciate any input, thanks for taking the time to read!
