Hanging Upside Down!

Dude that's awesome! I bet that plane is great to fly. I'm taking an aerobatics course in a lowly Citabria Adventure. You have to dive to pick up speed before doing some maneuvers...

That's fairly common in the lower and middle performing airplanes. The Pitts I fly cruises at 150mph, loops well at 160 and needs 180 or better for extra smash during vertical maneuvers. Thats part of the challenge, energy management. Whereas my buddy's MX2 cruises at 200 and can fly away from an immelman at 90 even if you enter it slower than cruise, at say 160.

Glad your getting to go upside down, Citabria is a honest airplane, takes skill to make it fly well. Doesn't hide sloppy pilot errors like a composite monoplane does.
