Another jet off the runway in Georgia...

The NTSB said the aircraft remained airborne for 1/4 mile after they sheared one of the wings off! Amazing that it went that far before settling back into the trees.

1/4 mile is about the same distance as threshold to first mark after the aiming points... At full thrust/ 130 knots for a go around, that's nothing.

Well I guess in my mind it seemed like a long distance considering they were just a few feet off the ground when they hit the pole then went up and over trees for 1/4 mile.
