I can't answer this without more info... Was it your Parents that used to say this, or other kids?

JRWIT---- First letter first name, first letter middle name, first 3 letters of last name.

Also, could be construed as Junior Wit, and, while not a 'Jr.' is kinda cool I guess
 
Back in the days of Instant Messaging I got sick of my unoriginal screen name (initials and last name) and wanted one without numbers at the end. I came up with "auwfly", KAUW being my home airport, fly being obvious. mikecweb had the assist though and came up with adding the 2 so it could be pronounced "ought to fly".

Seriously, that gets me every time. EVERY time.

Mine, back when I was a youngin and played lots of flight sims and fps' (MS Combat Flight Sim and MOH:AA, before I went on to high tech games like Pacific Fighters and COD (the original!)), I played under the name PG_Raptor (PG being for my squad's name 'Pursuit Group', and Raptor for the F-22 Raptor).

After a while I decided I needed something better, so I tried to think of cool sounding gun related terms and decided on 'caliber'. But caliber by itself wasn't good enough, so I added X for the crosshairs/sharpshooter reference plus the reference to the legendary sword. I was proud of myself. It wasn't until a few years later that I realized that the sword is spelled "Excalibur", with a U, and that without knowing the background of the name, I just looked like an idiot that can't spell.

And, well, since I am an idiot, and because I haven't been able to come up with anything better since, I just keep using it.
 
My last name is Iffland so

Iffland=iffy

aviator= Because I fly well at the time I had this name for my gmail and everything else. way before I started flying or When I dreamed of becoming a pilot. Now I am and it's a good play on words

95 - Racing number that my dad and I use on the glider (not the year that I was born as a lot of people seem to assume)

First AOL screen name...

Web, short for Webster, a nickname given to me by my college roomies, and 265 was my patrolman's badge number.
 
Mine is a continuation of my first email address. You can break it down into 3 parts.

Ozzie - Nickname of my goaltending idol, Chris Osgood (Redwings)
Cat - High school mascot was the wildcats
35 - jersey number in every sport I've ever played ( I also won 300 bucks betting my last 7 or 8 bucks on 35 at roulette once, I figured I should stick with it)

It has absolutely nothing to do with my name, but is embedded in my mind, so easy to remember.

I use mine on IRC ( for those of you old enough to remember). And it stuck. I still log in to DalNet, and if anyone here does - stop by #minnesota. :)
 
Mine is just the first letters of my first and middle name, and I fly...so there you go. Same name I used on AIM and elsewhere. Someone pointed out to me once the humor in that the movie character ET flew, and they thought i got it from that. I like that explanation better.

When I was in college (SIU Carbondale!), I had a pretty sweet Ford Mustang. A 1993 5.0 LX 5-speed. Calipso green with dark windows and a few aftermarket parts. So, of course my Mustang was the "Stang"...which somehow evolved into "Stang dog"...like, "Hey, who's driving tonight? Let's take the Stang Dog!" (the words of my roomates, not mine). And then one day instead of saying "Stang Dog", one of my drunk friends started saying "Stale Dog"....and the staledog thing just sort of stuck.

So there you have it.

My first Mustang was an 89 LX, so that's how I got my name.

Now I have an original reef blue '93 that's far from stock and is prepped for a single turbo.
