Entry Level IFR job

Currently I am @ 815/100.
I love my job but I am only flying day VFR and want to move more to the IFR side of things and build my skill set there. Would be nice to sit right seat and get some real world IFR experience. I am young with no family so I am flexible to move anywhere.
Anyone have any suggestion?

Get to 1200 then go 135? May be frustrating waiting to get there but probably your best bet for options.
At my rate, By the time I'd have 1200TT it would be just about all day VFR. (except for what was required for training) I am not building towards any of the 135 or ATP mins in any aspect except for TT. My current job is all day VFR and non cross country.

I'm sure you've heard it before but CFI / CFII?

I have quadrupled my actual time since I started flight instructing here in the Northwest.

No simulator usage at the school you are at? I think CFII is by far one of the cheapest instructor ratings, but I can understand being tight on money for sure :(

Having been through this, that is OKAY. Don't turn down your current job because it isn't what you expect. By getting to 1,200 hours, even if it is all VFR you have one less obstacle in your way to the next step. For those next 400 hours, start saving for your CFII. Either a new job will come your way or you become a CFII or both - but you'll be on the right path.

Keep your head up
