The Worlds Safest Airlines

Not to interrupt the Fox News bashing session but they didn't do the study, they just reported it.

"Europe's Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Centre (JACDEC)

released its list of the world's safest airlines."
Hey! Stop interjecting common sense and get back to studying your light twin! :)

Yessir....not until the end of April though. Still wondering if I made the right call on that one! I don't feel like heading back to training.

On the bright side there are no more cold trips to Anchorage unless things go bad. :)

You still out flying the line until then?

Yup, but I've been off for a few months due to some health stuff. That should be over in the next few days and I'll have a couple more months of ANC flying..

Sorry to here about the health stuff.

Let me know the next time you have a decent layover here in Anchorage.

How could the Europeans miss Finnair? (They haven't had a fatality since Workd War II.)

Fox made a choice to report this study, either because it agreed with some of their firmly-held beliefs, or because they committed shoddy journalism.
True, the problem first was with the study, but seriously, how many people (including all of the JCers!) would have seen that study without this tropic?

How is reporting this study shoddy journalism? I'm curious what objections you have and what you feel any news organization should use as a test to run a story on studies of various topics. I don't think because you don't agree with the outcome that it shouldn't be reported. There is a link to the study so people can make up their own minds. The title of the article is "Airline crash data group ranks world's safest airlines". They simply reported that a group did, indeed, rank the world's safest airlines. If you disagree with the metrics of the study then your problem is with JACDEC, not the news organization that reported it.
