Avant Air 7/7 and NetJets 7/7

I'm finally well within the requirements for NetJets and Avant Air. Both have a 7/7 schedules. Is there anyone here who has been with either company, and can tell me how often they get called up to fly off of their scheduled days?

I want to paint a realistic picture for my family when I'm talking about a new job. Right now I'm asked to fly 2-3 times a month outside of my schedule. My PIC part 135 was 585hrs last year which was doable, but pretty hard on the month I was only off for two days.

It wasn't really a hiring question. I was looking to see if there's anyone out there that knows how well they stick to schedules. The company I'm with is a good one. I'd like to leave by the time my oldest is getting close to school age, but that's a couple years from now.

I don't know about NetJets, but I'm pretty sure your days off are rock solid at Avantair. I can't imagine NetJets would be worse.

I have a buddy that's on the CE750 with NetJets and he's a solid 7/7. Doesn't seem to change, but I can ask him tomorrow.

I've talked to a CE750 NJ pilot and he was 7/7. But we had another NJ pilot, flew the Excel I believe, and he told me he was 15/13. Not sure if he just picked up shifts or not but that was his normal schedule.

There are going to be about 495 calls infront of you before they get to you at NetJets.

PS my schedule never changes and I'm looking about 5 years out of stuff if I want to.

At Avantair we have three schedules: 7/7, 8/6 and 14/14. All schedules are open for anyone to bid them.

On your set days off you NEVER have to work. They may call to see if you want to come in a day early to pick up OT but you are by no means obligated to take it. 7/7 offers a great QOL.

damn, that's pretty awesome, good QOL and not having to worry about a JS or open seats...
