Anyone know of any? Only go down there about once or twice a year, but it would be nice to fly around Florida rather than driving everywhere...

I've used Paragon at FMY for my instrument and multi as well as rentals and have been very pleased. G1000 equipped 172's, a 206 and a twin Tecnam.

paragonflight.com

$99 +10 gal on the 172's
$180 +15 gal on the 206
$240 +10 gal on the twin

They also have a light sport, but I've never flown that.

Rates are per hour + fuel.
1 hr in a 172 would be $99 + the cost of 10 gallons of fuel per hour at the daily rate.
Fuel price is usualy close to or less than the self serve price.

Duh... Sorry that just clicked

Europe-American Aviation (KAPF) used to be pretty liberal with their rentals. They'd let you take a TwinStar to the Bahamas a few years ago after a checkout.

Try out A-1 at PGD. Tell them I sent you. That's where I first started flying. Since then, they've added quite a few well-maintained aircraft. Just overhauled there C-150 and there two C-152's. I believe they also have an Archer and something else. Might even have LSA, too. Great guys and reasonable prices. Cheaper than Paragon, just without the G1000.
