715 hours .. Airbus.
It helps people like me who aren't professional in the industry to see what pilots are making. This is why everyone thinks pilots make $200k+ a year because all the pilots making less just say "my pay sucks".Posting pay numbers? Really?
Only one person posted what they made ( as I recall from reading all the replies). Everyone else just osted the hours they flew. That may or may not have nothing to do with pay. There may be a minimum guarantee that, for example, pays 72 hours/month regardless of how many fewer hours were actually flown. And credit time may not equal hours flown. If one picks up a 24 hr trip at 200%, they fly 24 hours but get paid double. I' m sure others have other rules that add to pay (not per dime). It helps people like me who aren't professional in the industry to see what pilots are making. You just lost me. I was trying to say I appreciate the few who did post what they made and I did not find it tacky.Only one person posted what they made ( as I recall from reading all the replies). Ok, I only saw one post. Forgive me if there were 3 to 8. And I didn't say anything about being tacky. I was just trying to explain that hours posted doesn't necessarily translate to pay. Carry on.You just lost me. I was trying to say I appreciate the few who did post what they made and I did not find it tacky.

(1) My pay sucks. It helps people like me who aren't professional in the industry to see what pilots are making. This is why everyone thinks pilots make $200k+ a year because all the pilots making less just say "my pay sucks".
My dad said the first time he watched an EMB 120 taxi by, he said "There goes our jobs, guys."Boy, those DC-9 jobs sure went to the skids.
(1) My pay sucks.
(2) It's also none of your effin' business.
Meh. The "What does Brand Y Airlines pay?" topic has been done to death and a trivial invocation of a search engine gets you pay scales. I'm not usually one to say it, but on this front, caveat emptor.Gee, that's helpful to the new guys.![]()
Ironically, Brand X had a contract, and Brand Y does not have a contract.Yes, but no one actually gets paid minimum monthly guarantee. That's why knowing W2 wages makes a difference. Virtually every contract has some degree of soft time. Only knowing W2 incomes gives someone a real indication of what they can expect to earn.
Well I wasn't forcing anyone, just saying I appreciate the few who did.(1) My pay sucks.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what my minimum guarantee is in terms of dollars. A fairly basic knowledge of multiplication will suffice, and our pay rates aren't a secret either.
