It's actually quieter inside than any airplane I've flow thus far. It makes a big difference when the props are behind you.

There's a controller lately at my home airport that is definitely from the south. Now his normal conversation doesn't really show his true southern accent, it's pretty well hidden, but lately he's taken to recording ATIS in heavy Southern Drawl. The first time I heard this, I knew who the controller was and knew it wasn't his real voice, so I thought I'd have some fun.... I called up ground control after having practiced, aloud, my own southern accent about four times and called up with the most southern of drawls I could muster.... low and behold he was on ground that moment and when he gave me my taxi instructions you could tell he was laughing his butt off.... sad part is I don't know if he was laughing because he thought it was funny or if he thought my southern accent was so horrible that he couldn't help it... I was never good at voices.
 
Even better, this one happened about three years ago. I swear it happened, I'm not lying. One of the female controllers, I can only surmise that she was put up to this by the other males in the tower. Well it was her time to record the ATIS, and she did it in a very seductive, sexy voice.... so over the top, it is easily the funniest ATIS I ever heard.... just imagine your local ATIS being read by a porn star, that is exactly what this sounded like...
