PCL runway issue CVG

Apparent a go around "seconds" before touchdown. Plane in front of him hadn't cleared the runway. I like that they said PCL and not DL.

News at 7.

Dude the 170's are the worst. We have to deal with them at EWR too.

I fly into EWR a million times a day it seems like. I've never seen a go-around. I take that back. I was dead heading on Colgan, and we went around. It was an Expressjet that failed to exit on time.
Other than that, I can't recall anyone: mainline, foreign, express etc...

Now if you said LGA, then yes you'd have a valid point. Expressway visual and launching off 4, every 3rd plane has go around.

I am not saying there are lots of go arounds. I am saying that when I am 3 miles in trail and you still aren't off the runway when I am at 300 to 500 feet there are issues. Its an active runway, hustle to get off then you can go slow.

I agree whole hardheartedly agree. We have some gomers that slam on the brakes at the last second, miss J and then slowly roll to K. Or the opposite, N and slowly roll to V.
I can't count how many times I've heard tower say "expedite exiting hold short 4L/22R."

We just moved to your neck of the woods in the C terminal. Much, much better than A. Except for gate 114. That is not designed for the 170.

On another note. I see a lot of people treat the 170 as if it's a 747. Its is very capable of landing short, or actually being flown. But I think there is a large portion of our group think it's a heavy and are afraid to fly it.

I've heard that on the 170 series you have use lots of judgemental oversteering.
