Do pilots name the aircraft they fly usually

I had a name for a C-310 I flew all the time, but it disappointed my like my ex-fiancé did. I stopped flying it and haven't named a plane since.

They shared the same name and that was that.

Maybe it's me, but I have a hard time coming up with complimentary names for some of the planes I've flown.

The 150 I used to fly was often known as Papa Oscar Sierra.

Used to teach in a Skyhawk that ended with CK, or chicken killer. That slipped to ATC once or twice.

I know a guy that flies an aircraft that is registered as Nxx2SA or he calls it 2 stupid @$$holes
