Until you're at 120, you're automatically in Big Trouble if one quits. Some guys would wait to retract the gear until they had a reasonable amount of speed (the gear cycle on the longbody adds a lot of drag). I was always more of the notion that you want to minimize the time in the "danger window" and get the gear as fast as possible. *sigh* How I miss the Mitsi.
 
Let it go, Wxd. I don't think he's posing any real danger to the UND bubble. Who cares what he does in the airplane he is PIC of and is the sole occupant. I would just worry about the one you're getting paid to fly, and no, I'm not defending him (even thought it seems it was perfectly safe).

Also, you're wasting your time arguing with hugz, it will be a circular argument.
