What the MU-2 guys do seems more dangerous with their crazy shallow initial climb, but I suppose given that things single engine characteeistics, I supppose I'd want as much airspeed as possible as well.
Until you're at 120, you're automatically in Big Trouble if one quits. Some guys would wait to retract the gear until they had a reasonable amount of speed (the gear cycle on the longbody adds a lot of drag). I was always more of the notion that you want to minimize the time in the "danger window" and get the gear as fast as possible. *sigh* How I miss the Mitsi.
