Also, seems like in the long term NetJets has growth plans (although I believe they still have furloughs currently) so if you can manage to stay in for the next couple of years you could be in a good position to get something there.
Just throwing out ideas.....
NJA_Capt Should be able to enlighten us on current Netjets stuff. This is assuming he still peruses the forum.Netjets has almost 700 guys on the street.
Did they really give you hard time about not having 1000TPIC? They have been taking guys with 0TPIC without problems. I'm sorry to hear your story. Did you hear back from them? Drug test email or no thanks?CitationAir, is shutting down, or at least changing their business model 100%, thus parking up to 60 airplanes over the next two years. I interviewed at VA about 3 months ago and it went okay. They got all hung up over me not having a 1000 TPIC, but at the time, they were not hiring a lot, so I see why they hired other guys. Plus a 1000 TPIC, i think is a joke, I know a lot of guys that have thousands of hours of TPIC and never once have stepped out of the cockpit. I have worked in our safety department over the last few years and have been in charge of projects and issues that they have to then follow. Just my little rant.

NVM. His profile says he doesn't
Just by these two sentences alone, by attitude, I'm going to venture a guess you weren't hired. Good luck in your future job search. Why are you taking it out on him/her? The BEST thing an internal rec can do at VA is somehow get you an interview. ONCE you are called, it is all up to you to get hired (or not). They are looking for friendly, upbeat, fun, techie type personalities. You got called for an interview, your internal rec's job is done, and a fine one at that to get you an interview! Sounds like you blew it in the interview by your own admission. You really make it sound like the 1000TPIC thing was an issue during the interview, but given the fact they don't require it and have hired quite a few guys with 0, it seems this may have been a case of them pushing buttons to see how you'd react. Anyway, as with most airlines, the internal recs will help land you an interview. Once you get the interview and go, then it is all up to the hiring board to offer you employment. If they felt you wouldn't be a good fit, they are not going to let an internal rec override their experience of what they felt about you.I know that they have highered guys, but my internal rec (family, by marriage) apparently was not as connected as he thought. His Christmas gift will suck this year. I have found one thing in my job search and I guess people can't be honest, but if you say I'll do xyz and you can't or won't. Then be honest, over my service here at citation air, I have told two people, that I could not help, was honest as to why and at least they knew. Also, I might of not been a super star on that lame a@@ test they make you take. But I did very well in the interview, at least I felt i did.
