Well sure. But it sure wouldn't be my certificate on the line doing that just hoping that some ASI wasn't going to shoot first and not care later.

Was just reading the TFR over Tampa for tomorrow. Not often I read these things. But kinda shaking my head.

A glider 29 nm away is somehow a threat to safety of a VIP? Really? What are you gonna do, intercept with F16s? Would be funny to watch.

Model rockets prohibited 29nm away? Is a 10 year old kid really gonna get busted for launching an Estes rocket to 80 feet?

Yet it is legal for me to depart VFR in a 727, as long as I ask for a squak code and file a VFR flight plan. And no one is logging instruction at the time.

We've already got the UAV's operating over US soil, we just need to make that final little jump to arming them ("for our own safety you know") and then we can counter strike with a Hellfire missle locked on to little Tommy moments after he hits the plastic ignition button on his little weapon of mass destruction that was cleverly disguised as an Estes Eliminator™ model rocket... that'll teach those little twerps to fear...errr uhhmm I'm mean "respect" the government!
 
Back when I flight instructed in Orlando and the shuttle was still flying, we'd do a package where we'd fly clear of the launch TFR, climb up to 10k, watch the launch and then come back for landing (our airport was in the outer ring).

Without exception, every time we did this, approach frequency would be busy with the sheriff's office chasing down ultralights. Tee-Eff-Arr? What's that?!

Looks fine (and fun) to me! That seems to be 'about' 500' and I doubt anyone there had a tape measure that long anyway. He probably doesn't have a cert to take anyway...haha
