Anyone know anything about this place? A guy flying through told a buddy about them and recommended that he goes down there to do some training. As I understand the chief instructor is the DPE used for most of the checkrides. Any personal reviews to pass along would be great. I checked their website but not a lot of info there plus I would rather have the personal experiences.
 
I did my Private Pilot here back in 2005. My experience there was a huge part of what led me to where I am today. The best flight instruction I have ever encountered. I have recommended this place many times to anyone who will listen, and have heard good things from anyone who has spent time there.

Tom and Gudi are very nice people who really go above and beyond to take care of their customers.

The co-owner is the DPE and is pretty good. They have reasonalble rates, good maintenance, cheap lodging and good service.

Highly recommend.

Did my private thru them , all my flight training was thru a satellite base of there's up in Suwannee county @ 24j . Did my checkride with Tom. Great guy! Loves unusual attitudes!
 
For you guys that trained there how is their training pace? Do they operate like an accelerated flight school or are they slower paced?
 
They will go as fast as you like, if you are able to keep up. My PP took 17 days, while many of their clients are locals who fly twice a week. Talk to them about what you want and what your goals are, and they will work out a program for you.

Do you guys know if they hire their CFI graduates often or do they have more of a senior CFI staff?

They did, and I think they need CFI right now..but don't think thats guaranteed. if you r good enough, I am sure tom or gudi will ask u to stay:-> good luck to you ,and anyway, it is a great flight school. I did my ppl,ir ,cpl there... its great,thinking to back for CFI as well..
