Can't call myself financially savvy anymore...

Now the bad news... my wife won't have her endorsement for another month. I guess I will have to keep it warmed up for her. ;-)

I had an '02 Shadow Spirit 750. Absolutely awesome bike for a beginner to learn on and grow into. Keep the shiny side up!

If I may ask, what year Vulcan did you get? I picked up a `04 Vulcan 1600 Classic a few years ago. By the time I got it home it was mid September 2007. I have been nothing but pleased with everything about the bike since.

Does she let you ride on the....little seat behind her? I had a black Shadow 750 ACE as my first bike. It was great.

Smart you are, buying her one first. Not nearly as fun riding alone.

Mine is the dark maroon they had that year. Although it is has a coating of sheetrock dust on it from today. I guess that means I need to take it for a ride tomorrow so I can blow the dust off!

If I recall I took delivery of mine mid September 2007. Due to the weather that year, I really didn't start riding it until the spring of 2008. When I got it there was around 12,000 miles on the bike. Typically I average around 3,000 miles per year. Outside of routine maintenance, the most I have done was put a new set of tires on it last year.
