Last Night as an Undergrad

Well, 4 years ago, I started school at UVU. In that time I was able to go from no pilot certificates (or degree for that matter), to CFI, CFII, MEI. During my four years I managed to stay out of too much trouble, start (and lead) the Rho-Phi Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, do a ton of community service, and still manage to graduate with a 3.94 GPA. Tomorrow is graduation, and looking back at the last few years, I can only say, I was worth every single minute. It's strange how this entire year I was looking forward to this moment, and now I don't want it to end. I guess that's life. It has been an amazing run.

I really enjoyed college and a bunch of the people I met. I loved the party life and the freedom we somewhat had. Also its hard to get so many friends in one area again for me. Congrats on the next step!

As someone who just finished up their first year at college, I congratulate you on your four years of accomplishment! Time to party!! :bounce:

Thanks Crock, you speak nothing but the truth!

Congratulations man! I know that took a ton of hard work to be involved in so much yet still have such a high GPA. That is awesome.

for a present to yourself, go buy a home brew kit....NOT MR.BEER! You will thank me later.

P.S. I too have my final undergrad grade due Tuesday! I am pumped to say I will be graduating. That being said, CONGRATS from one to another!

Dude, congrats! One more day to go, then party! And no way for the Mr. Beer. I've had my own mashing and brewing rig going for the last 2 years. Definitely easy to do if you spend some time at Home Depot, plus the brewing supply store. Also, totally worth it. Here in Utah $35.00 might get you a 12 pack of descent liquor store beer, or I can go to the brew supply store and make 5 gallons of good (real) beer. So far the lowest we have made was a 4.5% Saison, and the highest was an almost 11% Double IPA...delicious! What kind of brews have you come up with?

Congrats! I just graduated this past weekend (though it took me 5 years). I agree it was worth every minute, and it's a scary thought that it's all now over! What's in store for you next?

Nice! Congratulations! Where did you graduate from? Right now I'm still plugging away as a flight instructor for my school. Still have some time to build up. It's a fun job, with lots of great instructors. We keep ourselves entertained. How about you?

Graduated from the University of Michigan. I'm jealous of your flight instructing - my flying has been on hold for a while with school and sports here. I'll be headed out in 3 weeks to work for Boeing in Seattle, so I'm excited for the next chapter! Definitely a sad feeling packing up all of the belongings though. Best of luck with everything!

That's awesome! What are you going to be doing up there in Seattle for Boeing?

I'll be working in Supply Chain for them. Hopefully getting back to flying on the side in the near future!
