CSEL checkride

Am taking the CSEL ride on the third of May (18th birthday) and just got my oral prep guide in the mail today... Looking over it, I'm a tad worried. I never used the prep books for either private or instrument and never had an issue. But I'm find I can't answer a lot of the questions, they just seem extremely specific. Such as the size of the tires?

I have no info on the guy I'm taking the check ride with... People tell me the commercial was the easiest ride they've ever taken, do they really ask those types of questions on it?

I know it will vary from each DPE to the other but I'm just curious as to how they normally go.

The trick in passing your checkrides is to think that you are taking the hardest test everytime. Go out and prepare the most for each checkride and then you'll look back and see that was your easiest.............

It was my easiest checkride, but I still prepared for it like any other checkride. What specific questions do you have?

Since you're just turning 18, I assume this is your initial commercial ride, not an add on. Add ons are much easier. It will be a thorough exam so be prepared and know everything in the oral exam guide. I agree with jafra98's advice to assume it will be very difficult. Also, remember the PTS is the MINIMUM standard you need to demonstrate to pass.
