Hey Everyone,
I could definitely use some guidance or direction. My story started out at KSU being enrolled in their flight program. I worked hard all 4 years and got my commercial ticket, my instrument rating, and graduated with a degree in aviation. After graduation I started looking at my career options. Being faced with college loans I knew I had to get a job quick that paid well. I looked to aviation and wasn't interested in being a CFI and I didn't have the hours to go to the airlines. Having a 4 year degree I ended up taking a sales job in DC, which I was only looking at the money I'd be making ($50K) and not at whether I'd like it or not. 9 months later I learned that I hate sales and want to go back to my true passion, AVIATION. I've done some research on non flying aviation careers, but I don't really know how to go about getting into aviation management, etc. I've also looked into flying again, but with only around 230 hours it looks like my options for flying are very limited, and not having a whole lot of money after I cut the check for school loans, rent, and a car payment every month, I can't really afford to pay for a ton of time.
Any and all advice would be really helpful. As everyone can see I'm at the cross roads right now trying to figure out which direction to go in.
Anyone have any similar stories, or advice on the different types of aviation careers that I might enjoy?
Thanks Everyone!
