+1 million.Oh, and thank the Lawd for Chelton.
It was always severe clear when I flew there, don't know what your talking about...
.
Yep, the weather was always VFR...right?Yeah, thats why all those cameras are in the passes and various others places. To fill the void of time between flights with the breathe taking beauty of what has to be one of the most diverse and beautiful places on earth.
Critical distinctionVFR yes. Vmc. No.
You think that's bad, you should try running a tank dry over Glacier Bay with 4 old ladies in the back.I made a girl cry on the way from Gustavus to Juneau going through that cut on Mansfield peninsula.
I recommend it. Its the best ever, the only thing that I liked doing anywhere near as much was on demand stuff - but I was too dammed sleep deprived to enjoy it. Its fun, its different every day, and the scenery is great.Sounds like a great break from the everyday flying! May have to consider this at some point in the career!
The nice thing about BET is the show time never changed, 7:30 or 8 AM depending on who you worked for if I remember. Can't beat two weeks off a month either.I miss Alaska sometimes, even if I was in the ugly part. IFR 135 in the lower 48 is incredibly dull compared to what I was doing up there. Then again, my lifespan shot up signifigantly when I left. It's not a matter of if, it's matter of when. I sure wish I had flown in Juneau though, it's amazing.
