Midwest CFI checkride

Hey guys,

I am in Indiana getting ready for my CFI initial. I have heard that the examiners in Indiana are VERY tough whilst the examiners in Illionois are MUCH more linient. I was wondering if anyone knows the easiest place in the midwest to do this checkride? If it is close enough, I might just go there and do it. Kind of nervous for this...
 
I use Dave Southard in BWG (Bowling Green KY) quite a bit for my students. Actually have a Commercial Multi initial ride going on right now. Really good guy, has an great website for setting appointments.

None for CFI initial.. He's goes out of the PTS and also will ask a lot of practical real world scenario style questions. His phone number is on his website and he's really good about explaining exactly what he is looking for. Def one of my favorite examiners I've had the pleasure dealing with.
 
Cincinnati FSDO is great for CFI check rides. I took mine there in february. The examiner was very much by the pts, and makes you feel pretty comfortable. I actually was supposed to take it with one guy, but the weather was bad for like 2 weeks. By the time I took my check ride I was on the 3 rd examiner, but I got the same easy going know your pts approach from each of them.
