Which one was he?
Lou McDonald. We were in a large flight club and as a CFI I did a couple of aircraft checkouts with him. He went to Polar or Atlas. I can't remember which.
Which one was he?
I know a guy that got married in his FedEx uniform. Wears it to Christmas parties too. Adds inches from what I hear.
I know that Ex-Captain and I contemplated getting married in the DTW chapel in our uniforms on a 3 hour sit (We seriously almost made a special trip to get a MI marriage license beforehand) Can you imagine the looks on the other two crewmembers faces if we had asked them to be witnesses? lol

That would put you on a plain higher than Star Trek nerds. Which is cool. I'm a Trekkie. Not a DS9 or Voyager kinda guy but I get it. But getting married in the airport chapel? How would you consecrate that marriage? Stair well? Its always a little awkward too. I try to always take the steps just for the little exercise it affords me and without fail you run into a couple. I just pretend its not happening. Unless she's hot and then I just walk real slow.I know that Ex-Captain and I contemplated getting married in the DTW chapel in our uniforms on a 3 hour sit (We seriously almost made a special trip to get a MI marriage license beforehand) Can you imagine the looks on the other two crewmembers faces if we had asked them to be witnesses? lol
Boris Badenov said:PS. On the question of uniforms in public, I have switched sides 100%. I used to think anyone seen outside of a SIDA area in a uniform was a tool of the first order. Now I regularly go to the supermarket in my ridiculous flight suit. Honestly, go ahead and think I'm a toolbag, you're probably right. But I'm regaining 15 minutes of my day by not going home and changing. 15 minutes of my life > the high opinion of some dude I don't know.
And no i dont care if you think im a tool, ITS ON THE WAY HOME (and im a tool)!
Word, brother. I just work here. You think the Terminex man thinks twice about procuring his daily feast on the way home? No, sir.

Even better when the couple is the Capt. and FO!lol. Who needs a stairwell when you have the flight deck.....just tell the FO to take a REAAALLLLY long time in the lav....
I'll run into Starbucks on my way to work, in my jet jammies. Other than the occasional odd look and people asking if I am old enough to fly I don't think it's that big of a deal.Word, brother.
