My wife seems to think our family might be expanding soon. Despite not being where I had hoped I would when this happen I am still not unhappy about it at all.I guess I will find out if it's for real or not in a week or two.
Indeed, if you wait for the perfect opportunity, every opportunity passes you by.
It's really true. I don't think very many people are truly 100% sure or prepared to be parents. At some point, you just take the plunge or it is taken for you. lol As unplanned, inconvenient, unsure and scarey that all of this seems for many new parents to be and for all the confusing/conflicting thoughts and emotions, that you both may roller coaster around in, trust me.........once you see that sweet little face for the first time and hold your tiny child in your arms, (and I am not kidding or exaggerating here) you will immediately fall so deeply and so head over heels in love with him or her that you will astound yourself and there will be no words to describe the overwhelming joy and love that will wash over you like a tidal wave. Congrats!!!Trust me, I faced the same issue. But you will never feel ready, financially, mentally or mature for kids. But if you wait, it will be to late. Trust me.

You know, my Dad told me this would happen and I really just couldn't picture it. I expected my kid's Mom to feel this way......that is what Mom's do and who they are and they have lived with this baby already as a part of them and their lives for nine months. But men? This is EXACTLY what I experienced. Twice.
Well stated, Aloft.
