I dunno about flying 737-400's on commuter routes. Something just isn't making sense here. There must be another part of the story that we are not getting.

Probably the "return of the name" rather than the return of the airline. I'm sure Continental has a little bit to say about that! :)
 
In this environment, I'd be a little hesitant with any startup that didn't have a killer marketing budget and all-stars as management. Anyone remember Skybus? Pretty sure they tried the same thing. Sure, the economy is better now than it was then, but not by much.
 
They may have blown it with their choice of Aircraft..I'm really surprised no one has launched an all Q400 startup in the US. Porter is killin'em in Canada.

Porter's advantage is that they fly the Dash into Toronto City airport, which is right downtown. The only reason they need the Q is because it has a really short runway. Where could that work in the US?
