QFE is fun. Everything zeroed out!

Ha, I still think they're crazy. Something about QFE strikes me as being complacent and setting your guys up for failure when they're off station.

Trying to remember....Kuwait, I think it was. Take off with QFE, then set to QNE climbing through 3000'. Descending through FL50, it was an auto change from QNE to QFE.

Kuwait is fully QNH now.

+1 to the Russkies (and their -stan counterparts) finally getting off meters in the flight levels. No more scrambling for the paperwork approaching GASBI.

Can't speak for Southernjets, but we're not authorized QFE.

They aren't either.

For a while, American was setting their altimeters for approach with the standby on QNH, and the mains on QFE, so that "every ILS looked the same."
