Anybody know the full story here?

Looks like someone might have possible failed to fully explain the definition of "Cat I and Cat II" approaches to these fellas....

Oh, come on! Someone had to say it!

On a CATII approach, if one CAT fails inside the FAF can you still continue the approach?

Im thinking they might have read it at 1 Cat approach and a 2 Cat approach.... this one looks like a 1 Cat approach.

A capt I flew w last week told me a story about getting on an empty airplane. He went back to use the lav and a bird popped up from behind a seat and flew into the cockpit. He came out of the lav and looked around, saw no bird, thought nothing more about it. Pushback, check the rudder and low and behold the bird comes out of the pedals and flies smack into the capts face. then disapears back into the pedals. They end up having mx come out, open all the windows and doors, remove the fms's, open the avionics bay and access panels and flushed the thing out. Crazy story and a good thing it happened on the ramp and not at v1.

That cat is amazingly calm for how loud it must have been. I would have thought the cat would have been freaking out.

I flew an airplane back from an air show one day and heard this chirping the whole way home. Told my boss you won't believe this but it sounds like there is a bird in the airplane. People were in and out of this thing all day looking at it. Looked around and couldn't find anything. Came in Monday morning and found a dead bird on glare shield and bird crap everywhere.
