I've been collecting models of aircraft I've flown over my career.
The top two arrived today after 4 months in the Philippines compliments of modelbuffs.com.

Nice! Funny I was just talking to the gf tonight about how I wanted a model of the PC12, but didn't know where to go to find one. Are you able to choose the N-number or is it just whatever is already on the model?

I became friends with a retired Rear Admiral who did the same thing with all the Navy planes he had stick time on. It was an extensive collection. He got in in the early 50s and retired in the mid 80s so he had quite a few options.

I was just telling my wife a few weeks ago that I wanted to start doing this. Especially since I only have one plane in my quiver so far. Easier on the wallet to start early I would imagine.

The model prices range from $139-199. Then Fedex Shipping on top. The top two models, I paid $380-ish total.
The next two I'm having made are $480, for two.

Turn around time is 3-4 months.

I just placed an order for a 402 & Metro. Figured when I get my next gig I'll get that and a seminole to represent all my instruction gigs.

I've been thinking about picking up a model of the all the blimp's I've flown. Going to get pricy, but sure would be cool to have.

I want to at least get a model of the airship I passed my practical test in. Haven't got around to it though.

my dad had one with a YS-11 with Mid-Pacific airlines livery, I used to play with it as a kid, broke off most of the props...he wasn't too happy about that.
