Im trying to find companies that are needing painters. Right now I am in the United States Navy. Im a Aviation Mechanic/ Aircraft Painter. If anyone may have any pointers on what company would be the best to work at or just knows that they are hiring would be a big help. Thank you.

Don't do it. Civilian paint shops are the scuzziest, sketchiest, nastiest places in the aviation industry.

Just my opinion, worth what you paid for it.

I used to work at a shop that did a lot of painting and it fit this description to a T. I won't go as far as saying don't do it but I would definitely suggest you do your research first.

I am guessing that you are an AM in the Navy. If I were you I would look at some place like DYNCORP that does the contract stuff for the Navy. I know on the east coast they have all of the RAG squadrons. They do all of the workcenters including 12C. If you have been to paint school that may put you ahead of the average Joe off the street.

Boeing happens to be looking for painters right now for Mesa, AZ. I would also apply to the Everett facility as well. Go to Boeing's site and look under careers. Gulfstream in Savannah is also looking. Pratt and Whitney in Bridgeport, WV has openings too and so has Cessna. I am going to send you a pm with the links to several good companies and where to apply.
