Very nicely done, the lump of frozen coal where my heart and credulity should be thawed a couple of degrees. With that said, I sense a deep need for a "JC Edit" that intersperses random scenes of dragging a broken chart bag from the "A" to the "F" concourse, furlough notices, the view from cattle-class, etc etc etc.

I thought so too, at least, however, it does have the history of being on its coat of arms, which was awarded to British Airways when it was formed. There is a short "making of" video I saw when I saw this which explains the significance.
Anyway, regardless it is significantly better than the typical contrived, patronizing "nod to my coworkers" ad from an executive who before joining the airline couldn't tell the difference between a Boeing or Airbus and will spend less time at the company than some of his "coworkers" will spend on furlough.
Besides, they have a great history, and all those old aircraft, all the way up to the VC-10, cool.

Also, the narration is maybe a tad overwrought. "Fighting wind and stars..." STARS? I'm a pretty poop-hot pilot, but my money's on the enormous nuclear fusion reactor/source of all life.

I love the newer Delta ads, but they don't hold a candle to this BA ad. Nothing better than using all the old planes in the ad. I'd love to get a chance to fly a DH.84/89 someday.

Hehe, I can't help but be cynical of airline commercials after working in the industry at the "grunt" level. I used to love them. Especially Delta commercials bragging about how great the company is. *sigh*
