If glare from the water is bothering you you may be flying too low.

Anything labeled UV400 will block pretty much all damaging UV rays out.

I am sure the UV 400 sticker on the cheap Chinese glasses are legit.

I didn't pay attention too much but my sister who is a doctor was telling me about UVA/B and the dangers. There was a teacher that worked for years in a classroom with a glass wall. UVA penetrates glass, so the teacher was old and wrinkled on the side that faced the glass and less wrinkled on the other side. I believe tint will protect your eyes from UVA, however the rest of your exposed skin is getting cooked. While you may not be getting tan in the cockpit, you are working on melanoma.

I dont understand the term too low! Nah, I used to spend a lot of time on boats back home.
