Ok, not technically buuuut...I just got offered my first job in an airplane. I took my CFI checkride last week and today took a job as a flight instructor at the same airport I did my training at. I will be starting off slow since I'll be working on my (II) but I'm excited to finally start getting some of that cash back!

Congrats man!! So I take it your were flying out of I69? If you were, great company to be working for!

ooooh No, I guess you got that from my other post maybe? That's where I took my checkride, I'm not based there. I'm based up at Middletown, which is more towards the Dayton area.

Congratulations! You too huh? Must me a good time to find CFI jobs! What are you going to be flying?

Just a couple 172's...I'm going to be mainly doing discovery flights for now..I'm going to be able to study and work on my double eye while I'm out there so I don't want to get too busy, but there's plenty of opportunity..I'm pretty excited!

I know the feeling. I can't wait. It truly is an exciting time!

I just did my first flight yesterday...ive never been so excited to go in circles for . 5 :D...have you gotten a chance yet? Ill never forget it and it was just a discovery flight.

Oh man, I'm so excited. I haven't gotten a chance yet. We have our orientation on Wednesday, and should be expecting my first students on Monday the following week. What did you cover on the discovery flight?

Oh nothing much really. It's just a sit down and talk with them to try and figure out what their goals are. We show them a preflight, get them familiar with the cockpit. After that I let Him take off, we went to the practice area and flew around, just getting a general feel for flying, came back and did a landing. It's nothing big, but to the "Student" it is. He had a blast..It was really neat to experience that.
