GoJet Airlines Announces Additional Flying and New Partnership With Delta Air Lines

12 Bombardier CRJ-700s added to GoJet’s fleet as Delta Connection

GoJet Airlines LLC announced today a new partnership with Delta Air Lines that includes adding 12 Bombardier CRJ-700 aircraft to the GoJet fleet. The dual-class aircraft will fly
as part of the Delta Connection program.

Under the terms of the agreement, GoJet will begin service with the 12 Delta-owned CRJ-700 aircraft in the first quarter of 2012. The total number of GoJet aircraft in service will rise to 37, almost a 50-precent increase in the airlines’ current fleet. GoJet currently operates 25 aircraft as part of the United Airlines Express regional service.

“We are pleased to add GoJet to the Delta Connection family of airlines, we believe GoJet to be a high quality airline and will be a great addition to the Delta network” remarked Don Bornhorst, President of Delta Connection.

“Today’s announcement is exciting news for GoJet Airlines as it not only expands our fleet, but it also marks our second partnership with a major airline. We are committed to this new code-sharing agreement with Delta, one of the largest airlines in the world,” said Rick Leach, President and CEO of GoJet Airlines and President of Trans States Holdings. “Since its launch six years ago, GoJet has strived to be a leader in the regional airline industry by providing our customers with safe, reliable and efficient service on every flight. In our role as a United Express carrier we are continually recognized for providing an excellent product with some of the most professional flight crews in the skies. Now, through this growth we have the opportunity to partner with Delta Air Lines and bring that same great service into this new relationship. We are also proud to grow our fleet of Bombardier aircraft, which have proven to be excellent performers in the marketplace.”

Wasn't delta all about reducing the number of regional carriers flying for them?

Just to clarify...

12 aircraft total going to GoJet during 1st Quarter 2012. All CRJ700 series.
- 8 aircraft from ASA
- 4 aircraft from SkyWest
- All are ex-Comair birds.

Funny how this is happening now with contract negotiations going on.

Also, One List!

Where are these planes being based at? ATL? CVG? DTW?

Either way, this SUCKS and GoJet's should be burnt to the ground. Maybe Cherokee Cruiser can go there now, I'm sure they'll be hiring...

Helloooooooo minimum quality clause... Oh yeah, no one thought about that.

Pretty depressing news. Explains why ASA barely did any hiring. ASA upgrade time is about to make Eagle's old upgrade time look quick. Not to mention this new can't help contract negotiations for the pilots. Hate to say it but I think ASA is the next Comair

ASA to lose 8 700s and 6 200s.

Just heard a rumor in the airport that ASA is downsizing their fleet, and the 700s are going to GoJet. Is this true?

Really? Your post is number 16 on this thread and you haven't found your answer yet?

Re: ASA to lose 8 700s and 6 200s.

While I'm sure economics factored into this decision, I'm sure our absolutely horrible performance over the past year has something to do with this. All of which can be attributed to our management trying to run a Pinnaclesque operation. They brought this on themselves...and unfortunately us. And yet "we won't be successful unless we're all pulling on the same side of the rope"

Screw them. We've been hearing one thing, yet seeing another, for over a year now. I've lost faith in what they're doing. Not because we're losing these airplanes. But because of what I've seen over the past year and a half...I'm not going to be happy unless there's some housecleaning that goes on in middle management.

I like your attitude. We need to talk again.
