Shutdown of FAA possible in House, Senate clash

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House and Senate are clashing over legislation to continue the Federal Administration's operating authority, raising the possibility of a shutdown of the agency later this week.

The FAA's operating authority expires on Friday. The agency has operated under a series of 20 short-term extensions since 2007 because lawmakers have been unable to agree on a long-term funding bill.

Sweet! Flying above 250 below 10K. Crossing restrictions now are more like guide lines. Passengers can stand in the aisle when no seats are available. Inflight naps are OK. Aileron rolls (But only when everyone is safely in their seat belts.) and buzzing the tower is OK. Gonna say "Any traffic in the area please advise." to my heart's content. . . . .lets see what else? ;)

Number of missed approaches decrease as pilots respond to landing clearances with "We got this..."

Lawmakers say the FAA's 15,500 air traffic controllers are essential employees and would continue to work.

Unfortunately, it won't be so.
