Really? There was one there at Woodbine for part of last week, and there has been one there most of this week. Plus one was at ACY for a few days last week. Actually took my checkride today at OBI.

I'm only there on weekends. How did the checkride go? I hope congrats are in order.

I passed, so I guess I know enough to fly the thing now. I'm glad I decided to do this checkride at Woodbine, it's a big field for landings. My other option would have been much smaller.

I saw that blimp on my way to the beach last week, didnt get a picture though. Cool to think it could soon be a JC'er up there flying it.

Also, 26N has great pancakes!

This shot make me miss flying.

I've actually flown both of them that were down there, Horizion Blue Cross Blue Shield and Hangar 1 Vodka. Recently (for the last week) I've been flying the Vodka ship.

Were you flying Saturday around 1:00 trying to land, and had already allowed a few banner planes to land, and then had an exchange (very cordial) with a skyhawk incoming to drop a banner and he asked how long you would need to land and you said "I'll take all the time I need". It was crazy out there at that time.

Wasn't me, but it was one of our other pilots. I jumped in right after that when we left to fly up to Solberg.

Damn, I was hoping I finally had a JC encounter on the radio. On the other hand, I'm glad it wasn't you, it took him like 20 minutes and 5 attempts to land. Is that normal?

Not really. It took a while because, well, lots of things were going wrong at the right time. Wind, positioning, banner tow guys, etc.
