I think in the pilot's situation, he was more unlucky than he was unprofessional. But on the managerial side, it's always most convenient to quickly wash your hands of the issue than endure a high profile debate which is why I know Southernjets would have probably canned me.

I've read through some of the comments and the way some people are treating this guy is really laughable. I personally don't partake in the kind of language this guy was using, but it is VERY rare to not hear crewmembers not use foul language. I even had a crewmember go as far as to brief me that "In this cockpit, there will be no foul language.." and on about day 2, leaving DFW, he's using it himself..
Hate speech, people need to get over themselves..
Tolerance is a funny thing. Seems those who demand tolerance the most are the most intolerant of things they find "intolerable." Eh, rant.. nevermind..
