I bought a backpack in 1995....but, then again, I used it to hike part of the Appalachian Trail.

Backpacks are great for holding hair gel, JayLo sunglasses, game console, extra pair of Underoos and a miniature dog! Unless it's a backpack like our service members carry. Those are cool...only if you keep it full with things like a stick or three of beef jerky, dirty magazines, some snuff, a flask of JD and a couple of cigars.

Yeh, I used to think backpacks looked.. well.. less than professional.. However, I'm changing my mind..

The state of the industry is changing and some things, I don't see how they make a difference.. I'm all for ditching the hat for a backpack..
