Day plus Night equals Total

In theory add your day and night flight hours, and it should equal your total...how many people have their times lined up exactly? Are they a little off? Do they match perfectly? Just curious.

Mine were way off until I bought logten pro, but generally, I've never needed to know "day" hours, just night. If you really are curious, i guess, then TT-night=day tt.
There is alot of different "parameters" some companies want, like ME night.. those are fun.

Mine are a little off, but not by much (less than 2 hours). Honestly it isn't a very large discrepancy so I don't worry about it too much.

mine match. before LBP they were off a bit, but everything is on now. I am very picky about my logbook and everything needs to match. not sure why.

Yeah I just did this the other day. I just took TT-night=day. I don't see a problem with doing it that way.

Mine were off by a little a while back. Like Blip, mine need to match, and it took me a long time to find the errors.

Why would ME night matter, for example?

I can see night aided/unaided being differentiated.

No clue, bud. Can't recall where I saw it, but it was a question on the application. Seemed useless to me too.. But that's why I love my LogTen:) I have SE Day/Night, ME day/night.. Just in case!

weird. have never seen that in all my years.

Went into an interview for an unnamed 135 company and from the get go I could tell the guy was a jerk... he looks at my times in my logbook, totals up my SE and ME time with a calculator and goes "well I see you don't take your logbook seriously," "Why?" (my response) "Well your SE and your ME don't add up to your TT" he even had a little smirk like he had gotten me on something... he didn't notice my four hours of glider time in the previous logbook.

But yeah all my times sync pretty well, the problem is I was lazy for years until I got my first 1000 hours so it took quite awhile to fix everything.

Thanks for the responses! My times jive together also...however my day+night are off my total by a little under 2 hours. :/

No big issue i suppose, glad to hear other people have been there as well!
