I'm desperately in search of a CSA/ramp agent position at Lambert for this summer and for the next few years— I'm in it to win it.

This summer, I'm most likely staying on campus and working 15-20 hours a week, and for the other 20 hours, I would LOVE to work at the airport. Unfortunately, the positions that were open at STL weren't right for me (I applied, and they denied). If anyone knows anyone there who could help me find a position, I would greatly appreciate it. I'd even be willing to start now, assuming the schedule would be flexible, since I'm in school.

I want to submit my résumé, but I don't know to whom to send it, because there isn't an option for that on any of the websites.

This is my life, my passion, my love, and my career— all of you understand that, and I want to get my foot in the door.

I don't know much about the airline side, but I'd certainly show in person at Signature. I'm not sure how busy they are out at Lambert, but if you make a pest of yourself at Spirit (and are willing to drive that far) there are a LOT of FBOs out there.

I'm not saying it's not doable, but if you're wanting to work for an airline, don't count on that. On the other hand, if you're new you're probably going to be stuck with nights and weekends, so that could work around a school schedule. It wouldn't be fun, but it could work. Shift trades are always a possibility but you can't count on them. If you're looking at an airline, usually they just have an application page on their website. If there isn't, it wouldn't hurt to go by the ticket counter and see if they have any applications. I've seen a few people get hired without the job being posted online. The other problem with a flexible schedule and an airline CSA job is they're generally going to send you away for training for at least a few days if not a week.

I thought you posted that you got a CSA job at United?
 
One thing I'm not clear on...do you just want to work for an airline? Or are you just looking for any airport job at any nearby airport or FBO?

If you're just concerned with the airlines, I don't have much input for you. Although I do know some things about Air Choice One, as thwhite2000 mentioned.

If you're open to anything, I could give you some other ideas.

I wouldn't work for Signature. Their stupid policies make things impossible to get done. To move an airplane requires 3 guys, 2 for each wing then the tug driver. Well the midnight shift was scheduled 2 guys to work and they had airplanes to stack. Both line guys lost their jobs. Just retarded company to work for and buy gas from.
 
So question to everyone reading this thread. I have lived in STL all of my life. and i remember the glory days of Lambert, when TWA was still in the business and their main hub was STL. The airport was so busy every time i was there. They even bought a ton of land which you can see when you takeoff and land which they were planning on building new terminals and runways on. Now when you go into the airport its dead. They have closed two of the terminals down and half of another. Nothing you would think of as an international airport. I know TWA is gone and that is probably one of the reasons. But why doesn't another airline post up shop here? Its in the middle of the country. Wouldn't it make sense?
