Rabigh wings flight school

I will try to get Maddog to take a look at it again. I know he is back in the states for awhile so he probably isn't paying attention to the forums as much.

Yeah, I am definitely paying as much attention as possible to my wife and the job hunt. I have a position if I want to return but I am trying to see what I can find back here. I know that they have spoken to 2-3 instructors so if you have heard from someone then go with it, if not then I am sorry. I know we want to have at least 8-10 instructors but I am not sure what the company goals are towards that end. I don't know how CT350 operates so maybe Rabigh Wings asked for it to be recycled and then again maybe CT350 did it because that is part of the service. I have no idea.

Sorry I am not much more helpful.

Right now we live here 22.412338,39.077618, pretty soon we will live here 22.401824,39.081781. Not sure how to embed this or make it into a link but it will paste into Google earth/maps pretty well. This is the King Abdullah Economic City near Thuwal, Saudi Arabia which is about an hour north of Jeddah by car. Here is a link to the home page for the project. There are big plans for this place, no abaya's, women can drive, etc, but it is moving fairly slow right now. We have a Subway, Pizza Hut, Coffee Shop, turkish/lebanese grill, fish grill, and a small convenience store.

The old drive from jeddah was an hour and twenty minutes and now it is about 15 minutes. There is a small town north called Rabigh that is not too bad but still not very much to do (read SMALL).

So I have talked to Pete lately and he wants to get 5-6 more instructors here ASAP, but things are not moving very quickly. We need at least one skilled A&P, maybe 2, and 5 more instructors. Again I will be frank, teaching here is not easy, the Sauds do not know the meaning of learning something on their own. You must tell them to think about certain things before they will realize they should think about those things. Recent point, a student needs a PPL checkride and they originate from OEJN. The student does not bring a taxi diagram and does not write down the instructions. He has been told to do this on 3-4 seperate occasions but still does not because there is always an instructor there to help (save) him. Shows up without a taxi diagram and says no one told him he should have one or be prepared to use it.

Just one example and probably a harsh one. I expect more of my students and teach them to be prepared, well, I try anyway. If you are interested in being here I would suggest giving me a call and I will answer questions with as little bias as possible, I have talked to a couple from here and I hope they will agree that I did not spin it too negatively.

Skype 803-454-9872, use whatever phone you normally do, just remember we are 8 hours ahead of EST. We can talk and then I can give you an email address.
