US owned and under an FAA cert.

Have spent a lot of time in Costa Rica and yes I know the pay would be low.

I'd use this as an excuse to take a little vacation and knock on some doors down there. Even if you don't find somebody hiring, at least you got to catch some equatorial rays.

Nature Air is the twin otter - they are Costa Rican and I am pretty sure must have a passport.

I have looked into getting residency in Costa Rica as we want to live down there. Its doable, easier than here in the US, but takes time, living down there/etc.

I`m pretty sure you need to be a local or at least speak really well Spanish, last time I checked to get a Working Visa you need to pass a Spanish test..

Not sure, I know they were looking for a pilot not long time I ago, some local guy that trained at my same Flight School told me...

As in most South American countries no, there is some limited part 91 you can do, 135-121 not a chance other then maybe for 6 months in case they can`t find local crew or an instructor. In Brazil they are planning to pass a new law that will allow foreigns to fly, they have been talking about it for more then one year now, I'm sure soon or later it will pass.

If you want and advice stay aways from South America, it will save you lots of headaches...fly in the US.
